Living willow structure workshop 15th March

The workshop is based at the lovely Southampton City Farm

During the day, you will learn how to make your own  small willow harlequin tree to take home with you.

Then we will works together to create a willow arbour for the farm visitors to enjoy.

Along the way you will learn how to choose a suitable site for a large stucture , how to prepare the site m selecting  the willow and maintainance of the stucture , We will also look at different structures that you can create including a dome,and a fedge ( willow hedge).

What is included 

All materials, and use of tools, handouts 

Hot drinks and a lunch of hot toasties and cake will be provided ( vegan and gluten-free options are available)

Please note that this is quite a physicaly demanding  activity you will  need a good level of manuel dexterity. we will be bending over and kneeling at times and we will  be standing much of the time the activity may involve clearing grass and digging  

You will need to  wear  practical out door clothing and footwear
