Living willow structure workshop 15th March

The workshop is based at the  lovely Southampton City Farm 

During the day we will learn about creating  living willow structure, choosing the site , preperation and making and aftercare.

You will make a variety of  small model structures including a fedge, arbour and dome and then together we will create a  full size arbour  from dormant living willow which has not started growing yet which will  stay on the farm .

What is included

The price includes  making your own mini models to take home  and put what you have learned into practise , you will also have handouts to take home  including diagrams , planning  and choosing your willow and where to buy it from  and how to look after and maintain it.

 Hot drinks and a lunch of  hot toasties and cake ( vegan and gluten free options are available) 

 You will also have the opportunity to wander arround the farm and vist the animals which  is home to over 40 rehomed, rescued, and lifelong animals including Pygmy Goats, Pigs, Chickens, Ducks, Shetland Sheep, Golden Guernsey Goats, Nubian Goats, Rabbits, Guinea Pigs, and a variety of Reptiles!

Please note that this is quite a physicaly demanding  activity you will  need a good level of manuel dexterity. we will be bending over and kneeling at times and we will  be standing much of the time the activity may involve clearing grass and digging  

We will be outside or in a poly tunnel much of the time so you will need to  wear  practical out door clothing and footwear
