Community activities, public art engagement projects

As well as offering workshops I have many years of experience providing activities to the community. Working across the age groups in many different environments, I can adapt my activities and create bespoke activities to suit and include connecting with and exploring the natural world and using hedgerow and found materials to create small-scale explorative projects as well as creating large-scale immersive projects which would take place over a period of time.

I am happy to advise and explore options for different types of activities. that will meet your needs.

Examples of previous projects and clients include

  • Providing community activities and bespoke projects with various councils and organisations within Hampshire, Eastleigh, Fareham, Portsmouth, Test Valley, New Forest etc for community events, environment projects, countryside crafts and family days.
  • Working with community and education settings in schools, home education, and holiday settings providing a series of events , training, projects and one of the events.
  • Providing a range of challenge-based activities for corporate events e.g Goodwood Members meet weekend.
  • Providing courses and well being projects with several hospitals
  • Providing demonstrations and activities at various events for example Arlesford Agricultural Show, Netley  Pumpkin Festival,  Blissfields Music Festival, Purbeck Valley Folk Festival and the Stay Wild Festival
  •  Providing large-scale long term projects using willow lantern and sculpture workshops and training that are designed to engage audiences and develop new skills ranging which include Winchester Cathedral and Test Valley/ Rushmoor  Borough Council , various community groups and schools . for  more details

Activities can include providing demonstrations and educational talks and offering a range of taster activities designed to engage . These activities can be tailored to a variety of audiences and abilities and are ideal for providing training to enable groups to undertake their own projects

If I am working at large events for a period of days or working on large projects  I  often bring a small team of assistants with me.
