Create a swift and swallow willow weaving kit

Create your own  swallow and swift Craft Kit 

Sit back and relax and create your own willow swallow or swift in the comfort of your own home, 

You will be able to create one of each type of bird or two of the same. 

Please note that that is possible for older children to make this  but I would advise that you are available to offer assistance if they need it  

Kit contents

 All of the materials that you need  to create the birds, which includes basketry grade willow, which has been preshaped , willow wound into circles to allow you to soak it in a bucket  and written instuctions with step by step images. 

You will need to provide

• A large bucket or container to  soak the willow which will take 5 ish days  
• A  large towel 
• A  pair of secateurs or wire cutters  Something short and spikey e,g a knitting needle or small ended screw driver or bradawl if you have one 

 Please note that the willow I have included still has its bark on so you will need to allow 5ish days to prepare it in advance of making. and will take longer if you soak it in cold water
